About Clairity

Clairity is a Boston-based medical technology company pioneering AI-powered breast cancer risk assessment through its flagship product, Clairity Breast (authorized under the name Allix5). Founded in 2020 by Dr. Connie Lehman, a Harvard Medical School professor and Yale-trained physician-scientist, the company has developed the first FDA-authorized, image-only AI platform that estimates a woman's five-year risk of developing breast cancer from a routine mammogram. The company's mission is to shift the standard of care for cancer from reactive diagnosis to proactive prevention. Clairity's technology unlocks new insights from radiological imaging data, accurately identifying individuals at highest risk of developing cancer regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. The AI model was trained on millions of images and validated across more than 77,000 mammograms from five geographically distinct screening centers serving diverse patient populations. Clairity Breast complements existing clinical workflows and addresses widespread shortfalls in breast cancer risk assessment at scale. The platform enables clinicians to personalize care plans for each patient and evolve those plans over time, monitoring lifestyle choices, health changes, and family history. In February 2024, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center became the first medical center in the United States to offer this technology clinically. The company has raised $43 million in Series B funding and is backed by Santé Ventures and ACE Global Equity.
