About Augmedit
Augmedit is a medical software technology company that provides augmented reality (AR) solutions for surgical guidance and visualization. Founded in 2018 in the Netherlands, the company transforms traditional 2D medical imaging into intuitive 3D holograms that surgeons can use for preoperative planning, intra-operative guidance, and patient communication. The company's mission is to provide safe, reliable, affordable and easy-to-use holographic solutions that enable better individualized treatment plans, more effective surgical collaboration, enhanced medical staff training, and improved patient engagement. Augmedit's product suite includes the Lumi cloud platform for secure DICOM image management and 3D conversion, LumiNE Lite for neurosurgical planning with automatic anatomical segmentation, and LumiNE Elite for intra-operative visualization during procedures such as External Ventricular Drain (EVD) placement. The platform is hardware-agnostic and compatible with Microsoft HoloLens 2, web, and mobile devices. The company operates on a subscription-based pricing model and serves neurosurgical staff, CMF surgeons, 3D labs, and researchers primarily in European markets, with recent FDA clearance enabling US expansion. Augmedit's vision is to become the leader in medical augmented reality applications to improve surgical outcomes and drive cost savings for healthcare institutions.
