Regular intensive training induces structural, functional, and electrical cardiac adaptations collectively known as the athlete's heart. Many electrocardiogram (ECG) findings in athletes, including sinus bradycardia, early repolarization, and increased QRS voltages, reflect benign physiological adaptation.
