Abstract
BACKGROUND: Sleep disturbances are highly prevalent in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and exacerbate neurodevelopmental impairments. Yet, the mechanistic link between sleep disruption, brain fluid clearance, and systemic trace element status remains unclear.
