Abstract

BACKGROUND: Metabolic dysfunction (MetD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) frequently coexist as synergistic risk factors for steatotic liver disease. Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) are established therapies for MetD, including type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity.
