Abstract

Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II α (CaMKIIα) signaling in the brain plays a critical role in regulating neuronal Ca2+ homeostasis. Its dysfunctional activity is associated with various neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease (PD).
