About InVision Medical Technology

InVision Medical Technology is a Y Combinator-backed startup (Summer 2022) that develops artificial intelligence solutions for diagnosing heart disease through automated ultrasound interpretation. The company addresses a critical challenge in cardiology: the 32 million heart ultrasounds performed annually in the United States are time-consuming, requiring over an hour of physician and technician time per exam, and suffer from considerable human-to-human variability that results in misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis. InVision's AI models have been tightly integrated into clinical workflows to enable easy usage by clinicians while improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. The company is leading the first and only blinded randomized trial of AI technology in cardiology, with results presented as a Late Breaking Clinical Trial at the European Society of Cardiology. InVision's work has been peer-reviewed and published in top medical venues including Nature (2020), Nature Medicine (2021), Lancet Digital Health (2021), and JAMA Cardiology (2022). The company is currently working on securing FDA clearance for its heart failure model and conducting clinical trials for models screening cardiac amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and aortic stenosis. InVision serves hospitals and health systems, with Cedars Sinai Medical Center as the first deployment site.
