Oversee prosecution and defense of a portfolio of intellectual property with over 250 US and OUS patents, oversee freedom to operate analysis for all products and products under development, successfully defended inter partes review as well as oppositions initiated by competitors in Europe. Serve as Chief Compliance Officer. Successfully managed and settled significant Lanham Act litigation, oversee all other litigation, including employment, OSHA and products liability matters. Provided legal support to regulatory and public policy efforts that led to benchmark FDA indication clearances (e.g., home, nocturnal and solo hemodialysis) and important CMS payment policy changes (e.g., articulation of payment methodology for more frequent hemodialysis and increased home training payment).
